Winnipeg Accountant Kent J. Haugen is a partner in HMA Chartered Accountants. Kent holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business economics from North Dakota State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Kent holds the following accreditations: FCA, CGA, MBA, CFP, TEP

He received his Certified General Accountant designation in 1983 winning the Silver Medal. Kent earned his CA designation in 1993 and his Certified Public Accountant (U.S.A.) in 1995. He subsequently qualified as a Certified Financial Planner, Trust and Estate Practitioner and a Certified Aboriginal Manager. Kent has been recognized by his accounting peers with a Fellowship from the Manitoba Institute of Chartered Accountants and a meritorious service award from CGA Manitoba.

Kent holds public accounting licenses from the province of Ontario and the state of North Dakota (CPA). He has qualified as a CFO for IIROC firms.

His non-public accounting experience includes the areas of automobile retailing, real estate development and the investment industry. As a CA he has extensive experience in tax, business advisory and assurance services.
