Stan Reid, CA started the current accounting practice in The Pas in 1957. He operated his practice as a sole proprietor with two to four employees. Kent Haugen joined the firm in 1986, bringing with him his marketing skills and belief that serving the client was the top priority of a CA firm. Brent Morrish worked in Toronto and Calgary before coming home to The Pas where he grew up and joined the firm in 1992. In 1994, the two purchased the practice from Stan Reid and Haugen Morrish was created. In 2002, Mike Angers became a partner in the firm, heading up the firm’s Winnipeg operations. Since 1986 Haugen Morrish Angers's staff levels have grown significantly, and we are now at the current staff complement of three partners and over ten employees and associates. In addition, over the years the firm has established working relationships with other specialists to assist in the delivery of quality service. These include international accounting and legal firms, computer specialists, payroll software specialists, business valuators, representatives in the banking and financial services sector and others. Haugen Morrish Angers is the largest professional accounting firm in northern Manitoba and the first Manitoba firm serving both the north and the south by establishing offices in The Pas and Winnipeg.
