Founder Stanley W. Reid, Chartered Accountant

Stanley W. Reid, FCA started the current accounting practice in The Pas in 1957. He operated his practice as a sole proprietor with two to four employees. Throughout his career he has performed his duties with dedication and commitment to the profession of public accounting.

For much of his career, Stan was the only chartered accountant in public practice in The Pas. This fact, combined with his reputation for meticulous client service, made him a welcome addition to the executive boards of a number of organizations.

For over four and a half decades, Stan has provided high-quality public accounting service to areas across Northern Manitoba, including remote locations such as Churchill and South Indian Lake. These high-quality services have been provided to many individuals, businesses, communities, First Nations and municipalities.

In 2001, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba chose to honour Stan with a Fellowship Designation. The FCA designation is bestowed annually on up to five Chartered Accountants for work of the Institute, their career, community service or research, teaching, writing or speaking and is representative of Stan's long-standing commitment to both clients and the chartered accountant profession in Northern Manitoba.
