About HMA Chartered Accountants

Stan Reid, FCA (Fellow Chartered Accountant) started the current accounting practice in The Pas in 1957. He operated his practice as a sole proprietor with two to four employees. Kent Haugen joined the firm in 1986, bringing with him his marketing skills and belief that serving the client was the top priority of a CA firm. Brent Morrish worked in Toronto and Calgary before coming home to The Pas where he grew up and joined the firm in 1992.

In 1994, the two purchased the practice from Stan Reid and Haugen Morrish was created. In 2002, Mike Angers became a partner in the firm, heading up the firm’s Winnipeg operations, giving our firm its current name: HMA Chartered Accountants. Since 1986 Haugen Morrish Angers' staff has grown significantly and we now have three partners and fourteen employees in our two offices.

In addition to our in-house accounting team, the firm has established working relationships with other specialists to assist in the delivery of quality service.
